The Wildschönau Valley is a veritable walker's paradise with a network of 300 km of walking paths up to an altitude of 2300 metres. Rustic huts for rest and refreshment and breathtaking summits all make for pure walking enjoyment.
The walks range from gentle valley walks to meadow walks half way up or attempts on the high summits. There is always something new to discover in the Tirolean high valley at the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps.
If you enjoy walking in the summer, then snow shoe trekking could be just the thing for you. The special snow shoes make walking in deep snow easier and the routes take you to untouched corners of the valley.
Crisp snow under your feet, crystal clear mountain air and a warm and cosy hut to rest in on the way - nature is close enough to touch..
Even more idyllic is the winter landscape around the tiny hamlet of Thierbach.or at the Schönanger Alm at the very end of the valley. The little Bummelbahn takes walkers and those in search of perfect peace and quiet to the ideal starting points for winter walks.
